My vibrations travel to my child

This morning I was watching a video about seeing your child as a soul, not ‘just’ a child and the impact our feelings have on them, even if we say something different. And listening I was also reading this on Facebook:

‎”Children inhabit a world of ‘it is,’ now a world of ‘it isn’t.’ They come to us with their being brimming with potential. Each of our children has their own particular destiny to live out – their own karma, if you like. Because children carry a blueprint within them, they are often in touch with who they are and what they want to be in the world. We are chosen as their parents to help them actualize this. The trouble is that if we don’t pay close attention to them, we rob them of their right to live out their destiny. We end up imposing on them own own vision for them, rewriting their spiritual purpose according to our whims.”

Now watch this:

Spiritual Development in Children

This article was pasted on my Facebook Wall, and it really makes you think differently to giving birth. As a parent, it is not just a body you are giving birth to.

From the time you were ushered forth from the womb, you had about a year to decide whether or not you wanted to keep this body. After a year we assume that it is a yes. Most children start getting very smart at about four months, particularly past the first year because that means that its Spirit has decided to keep the body. (note: is this why in China people only celebrate when the child has reached day 100 in his life?)

The learning after a year becomes very rapid. The Spirit, that which you are, just rests, and all the child does is being taught by its sensual body, meaning eyes, nose, mouth, hearing, touch. Everything is defined literally by the face itself because the child’s job is to build up memory of the environment in the brain. Children learn very, very fast. If the child is fortunate enough to have a great parent who unlimits the mind of the child and allows the child to perceive the environment, then we have what we call a genius on our hands. If the parent, however, determines the environment, then we have just a duplicate of mother or father or the babysitter on our hands here.

Everything the child sees, smells, tastes, and feels is logged in the brain by what is called a neuronet. The senses in the body have a neuronet base in the brain. The brain is made up of nerve cells, billions of them. They are the guts of the computer. The Spirit allows the child to develop that neuronet, and neurons move around a lot in the brain so it is possible to change your mind.

Children learn very, very fast. If the child is fortunate enough to have a great parent who unlimits the mind of the child and allows the child to perceive the environment, then we have what we call a genius on our hands.

The Spirit does not take hold of the body until this is set into motion. This is what I mean. Children rarely create reality until their spiritual self has been activated, because youth is about putting together neurons in the form of memory in the brain. Children interact. They don’t create; they interact. They go to school. Someone tells them what to do. They memorize it. Every day they participate in life. They don’t create it. Now why is it that the spiritual doesn’t happen until a certain time that you, as Spirit, decide to activate the brain? Because we are here to create reality and reality’s creation develops mind.

Think about this for a moment. It takes over ten thousand neurons to activate and fire the color yellow in your brain. Just think of yellow for a moment, something yellow. Right now you have approximately ten thousand and thirty-five neurons firing in your brain to give you the color yellow. How do you see it? Are you seeing yellow with your eye? Are you seeing it with your visual cortex? How do you see yellow? How did you learn that as a child? You saw the color of a flower, and someone kept telling you that flowers are flowers but certain colors make certain flowers, and you were able to decipher that. Your first memories are of color, and that is why you have an eye, to be able to filter the hue to the brain so that it makes a connection.

Once we get yellow, we work on red, and then from red to green. There are many of you that when you were children thought that grass was the color yellow until someone kept telling you, “No, it is green.” And when they kept telling you that, then you started to separate that grass isn’t yellow unless there is a drought. This is how learning happens. In all your young life you were explorers. That is what youth is supposed to do, explore and learn a great deal until such time when there is a morning of maturity that occurs.

This makes some logic, doesn’t it, because it would also begin to explain problems with reincarnation. It has always been argued that if you lived before, how come you can’t remember? Furthermore, if you lived before and were an ablebodied woman, why did it take you so long to walk in this life? And how come you didn’t know things? How come you still don’t know things? Because this brain belongs to this life. The last lifetime had its own brain. This is a new life and it means you get to start over.

Children rarely create reality until their spiritual self has been activated, because youth is about putting together neurons in the form of memory in the brain. Children interact. They don’t create; they interact.

The Spirit knows everything. It knows all of this. It is bringing the brain into a state of technical and time maturity. What children know today, children fifty years ago did not know. If you lived fifty years ago and died, you would want to be reborn today because the advances in mind have been extraordinary in fifty years, and that is what you are after here.

So now you know how to read and write. You know how to do numbers. You know color. Your mind has been developed towards the arts. You know how to create sound. You know how to communicate. And then you have your little prejudices peppered through all of that, some of which have been your parents’. Now that you know a lot, the Spirit then wakes up.

In the brain you have billions of these neurons. They are massive, complex, and ingenious. The synaptic cleft is the place where the information is coming in. The Spirit knows when the brain is ready, that who you thought was you is now ready for enlightenment. It moves in and it reverse-fires the brain, which means that now the flow of energy around your body can start to move through the brain and the brain will start to fire and isolate that stream. Let’s imagine that a stream of consciousness is long and the brain is going to cut it into very small pieces and arrange it, attach it to what is already known or move it in the brain. The brain is now mapping the Spirit’s consciousness.

The Spirit moves through and the brain starts firing. This is what some have called vision, enlightenment, inspiration. All of those come from the spiritual body. They do not come from the yellow brain. The Spirit moves through a stream of consciousness and the brain freezes and maps it.

What is the reason that we are here? You incarnated into this body and have an agenda from the Plane of Bliss. You have something to do here: the unfinished business and getting on with creating, making known the unknown. You can’t go further making known the unknown until you finish your job from your last lifetime. So what will be the first stream that will be laid down? The unfinished business from the last lifetime. That is the first pass over the brain. The reason that is the first pass over the brain is because the body has to be oriented or destined to a place in which the body, containing the Spirit, can finish the business of its mother’s and father’s kingdom and interact. That is the first pass. When that is all done then we get to make known the unknown, that which we have never done.

We know then that the first pass is the unfinished business from the last lifetime and that this brain of yours is starting to photograph every part of that because the brain, as a computer, creates holograms. Thought has more dimension than the person sitting next to you. Every thought that the child’s brain makes is holographic and very visual.

The brain produces then a series of holograms, which we call thinking, created to flash in what is called the frontal lobe by the entire brain. Thinking is nothing more than the successive firing of holograms. Isn’t it interesting that the brain doesn’t think in language? The only language the computer knows is symbolism and that has been artfully created by the brain itself. There is a whole language center in the brain that deciphers the pictures into words that the body has to articulate.

That desire to hold a thought is indigenous in us because something happens when we do that. That thought, bathed in the field of undulating energy at different frequencies that surround your body and which are interconnected with all other energies, is what collapses all of this energy into particles.

The brain is a computer. Someone has got to be the programmer. That means someone has got to be home. Thought is holographic and is produced by a neuronet that represents forms. For example, the same neuronet that produces yellow can combine itself with the neuronet “round” and the neuronet “radiance,” and when those three fire we have the sun. We can take the neuronet yellow, ten thousand and some neurons, combine it with a half-moon, and add a little shading. So far, now we have three sets of the brain firing because the moment that we add the shape to it, it kicks something else in. It kicks in a neuronet based in chemical taste. That kicks in and fairly soon the yellow has transferred into a banana. Delicious. Yellow both warms and is edible. To the brain that is how it works. We can take and put that in every part of life, that everything you have learned can be changed, mixed around, and produce different pictures. Nothing is absolute.

Thought is a hologram. Why would we go to so much trouble to produce a hologram that we already know exists? Because in this brain it presents its picture in the frontal lobe. That whole process is called consciousness and energy. That is the process in the body, because if we hold that hologram up here in the frontal lobe and let nothing else interfere with it, we are holding, by will, a thought. That desire to hold a thought is indigenous in us because something happens when we do that. That thought, bathed in the field of undulating energy at different frequencies that surround your body and which are interconnected with all other energies, is what collapses all of this energy into particles.

Here is what quantum mechanics tells you — and all of you who want to understand how to manipulate energy should study quantum mechanics — that there is no such thing as solid matter. That is correct. The only way it became solid is that energy got collapsed, something collapsed it into a particle.

We can take and put that in every part of life, that everything you have learned can be changed, mixed around, and produce different pictures. Nothing is absolute.

Waves of energy are both active waves and particles. They are the same thing. Particles and energy are the same thing. What mysterious something determined that this free-flowing entity should suddenly wind up into mass? What causes energy to collapse into particle form is the Observer. That is what science tells you, the Observer. Well, who is that? It is you.

Do you understand, at least theoretically, that what you are thinking about affects the energy around you? Is it beginning to make a little more logic to you? And is it a little bit more believable? It is, isn’t it? Well, that is called enlightenment.

Reggio Emilia approach – The environment as a third Teacher

I don’t consider myself a good mother, let alone a perfect mother. Many times a day I wish I could lock myself up with a nice work of art and some music, or just silence…. Especially at the end of the day, when the word ‘mama’  knocks on my head with a hamer.

BUT – when it comes to creating the perfect playground, the perfect surrounding, the perfect atmosphere and perfect soil for my children, and those who come to play at our house frequently, I feel like a master.

In the Reggio Emilia approach, this is called the third teacher. Quoting Wikipedia: “The importance of the environment lies in the belief that children can best create meaning and make sense of their world through environments which support “complex, varied, sustained, and changing relationships between people, the world of experience, ideas and the many ways of expressing ideas.

So you can find me in my garden a lot, always thinking of creating places to play. Our masterpiece is our slide, which resides ‘back’ – at the far end of our garden. As soon as the children can, they want to play ‘back’. It is a hide-out and the older my children become, the less I am wanted in ‘the back’. And I so love not being wanted! The slide is put over a little hill to prevent high falldowns.

First we had a slide. I had been looking for a slide like this for weeks. It had to be metal with wood. Plastic would not do because I think the colors of plastic are too bright and the experience of original material is way better for sense organ experience. We found this second hand slide that had been serving on a school yard. Perfect for only 15 euro’s.

Wood and metal slide

The slide wasn’t used much. First of all, it landed in a piece of garden where vegetables grew. Secondly, the slide was out of sight most of the time and at the end of the summer, it was all grown over with weed and used as a storage place. Thirdly, the little hill under the slide was used more as a staircase then a herb-hill and a safety-hill as I intended it to be.

We decided to move the slide towards the trampoline, play object number one for the children, and the swing. It would be more grouped together. Secondly we extended the porch, added a roof we had kept from our old chicken-run. Thirdly we added another little wooden playhouse that was hidden in the phacelia-field.

Now here something interesting happend. As soon as we put the roof on the construction, the children started to play mom and dad. Ever since the new slide and it’s complete little village was finished, the children had 3 little spaces to hide under and in. And they love it! The first sunday after it was finished we had a birthday party with 7 children and they played in the ‘back’ all day long! They bring their dolls with beds and blankets there, their little chairs, their drinks and snacks and it is their little paradise.

And me? I am perfectly happy because I can grow veggies again at the back end of the garden and nourish my little herb-hill under the slide.

Cherish the fever

Fever is a good thing. It is like an oven that burns the bad germs. We musn’t be afraid of fever.

With fever, first there is a cold phase. Pay attention when a child says he feels cold or when you see him shiver. The furnace is starting to work but it will need all the child’s energy to heat up. Warm the child with cloths or blankets. Wool is the best means to warm your child.

The second phase of the fever is the hot phase. The oven is heated, the body is working really hard to burn the bad germs. You can help the child in many ways to do this hard work. And it is hard work. He will have no energy to do other things, other than …. rest.

How to help your child to do this hard job?

  1. be near
don’t put him away alone in his room
I prefer laying a kid on the couch where he can feel the presence of me or other family members. Even at night I noticed it is better to sleep next to the child or put my child beside me in my bed so I can give him water every hour.
  2. let him drink water
when his oven is working so hard, water is all a child needs. Let him drink every hour. Even if he says he is not thirsty.
  3. read or tell stories
when a child has fever, he will dream more (vivid), reading nice and gentle stories will help him calm down
telling a story by heart is even better, but try to avoid watching tv: the heat of the fever is allready going to his head, tv adds more to his head so he can get more headaches
  4. rub his feet and lower legs
the heat of the fever is going up to a childs head, bring the attention back to his feet by rubbing of softly massaging the childs feet
  5. wrap  the childs feet in cotton drained with lemon
    as described below….

Lemon wrap

I learned this amazing method a year ago and it works! I have put it into practise many times and it really helps take your child through the pain of fever and it will quicken the process of healing! The heat of the fever in a child’s head can give a child headaches. Do you remember having a fever? Do you recall the banging feeling in your head? The child will feel this too. Because of this feeling the child will sleep bad. And sleep is the best thing to recover!

Lemon takes down the heat from the head down to the feet so the child can really get some rest.

You need:

  • one organic lemon (we use the peel so it is better when it is not sprayed with any toxics)
  • 2 cotton wraps, you can make these of old sheets (cut 2 strings of 10 cm wide and roll it up)
  • a bowl
  • luke warm water
  • a kitchen knife
  • woolen socks
  • a towel
  1. make sure your child’s fever is at a stage where he is hot, not cold. Check if his feet are warm. Don’t use this method when his feet are cold.
  2. put luke warm water in a bowl
  3. press the lemon under water and start cutting small cuts into the peel
the etheric oil in the peel of the lemon will come into the water
  4. keep cutting the lemon, keeping it under water, until it is cut allover
  5. cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice
  6. drain the 2 cotton bands into the lemon water
  7. put a towel under your child’s feet and wrap the cotton bands around its feet
  8. put woolen socks over the wraps
  9. cover the child with a blanket

After a few minutes the sour of the lemon will do it’s work and ‘pull’ down the heat of the fever away from the head. Your child’s face will show calm and most probably your child will fall asleep. Because of the heat, the socks will dry themselves. You can repeat this every few hours.

Lemon wrap for fever - use woolen socks around the wraps

In my experience, using lemon wraps, fever only lasted for one day. Whereas before, my child’s fever could last for two or tree days. So what it tells me is that with lemon (as opposed to asprin) you can leave and respect the fever to do its job so the germs are burned faster!

I was told this would work with ginger or vinegar, but I do not have experience whit that.

Bursting the Bubble on Infections

A very clear and fresh way to look at illness, especially for our kids. I am very carefull with Vaccins, which is a whole other story on itself, but this would be a good basic explanation on why not to be afraid our children get ill. Alert yes, but afraid, no.

Mimicry

Children don’t do what you say as much as they do what they see you are doing.

My daughter saw me feeding babies a lot when I nursed guest babies at home. During and after that time, she fed her dolls and brought them to bed A LOT.

Saving tip for baby wipes

Lets face it: baby wipes are expensive. You might spend two times more on wipes then on diapers for the years and months your baby needs them. My saving tip: make your own!

Make your own baby wipes

Make your own baby wipes

Here is how:

  1. Fold 20 kitchen paper sheets into a little plastic box (I prefer 2 times folding, otherwise they become too small
  2. Add olive-oil, sunflowerseed-oil, or baby oil. I prefer organic, non-perfumed oil. Let the sheets drain totally.
  3. Wipe your baby :)

It’s as simple as that! You save tons of mony and this solution has many wins:

  1. The wipes stay at room temperature. Soaped/water wipes tend to get cold.
  2. The oil wipes of poop very easy
  3. You don’t need creams any more, the skin is directly oiled in one movement
  4. You can do the folding with your toddlers, they will love it. Do it on a fixed day in the week. I use to do this every monday as a chore. Small children love this rythmic household chore.
